Maruti Swift - A Test Drive

Today, a friend of mine wanted me to accompany him for a test drive of the Maruti Swift. I very eagerly said, come on dude, lets go(no we didnt test drive the Alto). God, how i wished that they had a black demo car or one on display which was black. Alas, there was an orange demo car and a blue one on display. The demo car was a ZXi variant, the most expensive of the 3 variants. Glancing through the brochure, I felt the Vxi was the the option to go for. The on-road prices of the LXi is 4.5 Lakhs and that of the VXi is 4.8 Lakhs. Couple of things that i think should have been part of the car are alloy wheels, floor and boot mats, stereo system, side moulding set, digital clock. Add all these, and for approximately around 5 Lakhs or a little more, you can have a sexy looking car. I was thinking about Leather seats till some time back, but another friend of mine told me it was not a good idea. So happy driving folks, and drive safe.|
